Vaccine update

The Health Ministry says 18 719 COVID-19 vaccines were administered in South Africa on Sunday and most of those were for people who are now fully vaccinated.

This comes despite the Vooma Weekend Vaccine Drive and is far below the 300 000 daily vaccinations target by government.

Eleven and a half million people in South Africa are now fully vaccinated, having received either the single-dose Johnson and Johnson shot or both doses of the Pfizer vaccine.
