Identities of victims in Tzaneen bus crash released

The bus crash near Tzaneen in Limpopo, which claimed the lives of five African National Congress (ANC) supporters, has left a community in mourning.

The identities of the deceased victims have now been released. The crash victims are four women – Nolly Makganyoga, Bertha Mapfumo, cousins Margaret and Mapula Rakubu – and a man named Macdonald Setabola.

These ANC supporters were en route from Botlokwa to Mbombela, intending to participate in the ANC January 8 Statement rally. However, their journey took a turn when the bus collided with another vehicle from the rear and subsequently rolled down an embankment.

Out of the 57 individuals who sustained injuries in the accident, 47 have been discharged from various hospitals after receiving medical attention.

The incident has sent shockwaves through the ANC community, marking what was supposed to be a celebratory occasion as a moment of deep sorrow.

The families and friends of the deceased are grappling with the loss, and the broader community expresses condolences during this difficult time.
