ANC President Cyril Ramaphosa says the party will launch a campaign that will engage with South African citizens.

This as the ANC NEC, alliance partners and cadres in Parliament, met to discuss a common program to focus on the transformation of society and building a better life for all.

Ramaphosa says people will be accounted in an effort to seek a new democratic mandate. Ramaphosa was speaking at the end of the ANC’s Lekgotla in Boksburg on Gauteng’s East Rand.

“I know of no other organisation that has the type of presence that the African National Congress has. And this is the machinery that we are going to unleash to go and campaign for the victory of the ANC. Right throughout the country, yebo sizo’bangena. Now we will do this as we seek a mandate once again from our people to continue advancing the transformation project.”

Ramaphosa closing the ANC NEC meeting:

Meanwhile, Ramaphosa has wished Bafana Bafana all the best ahead of their Africa Cup of Nations round of 16 match against African giants, Morocco, in San Pedro, Ivory Coast, this evening.

Morocco are the overwhelming favourites following their exploits at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar where they finished fourth. This evening’s match kicks off at ten o’clock.

Ramaphosa says a win could see Bafana bring the cup back home.
