Richards Bay beat TS Galaxy in PSL

Richards Bay became the third team to collect maximum points in the Betway Premiership so far this season.

The KwaZulu- Natal Rich Boyz beat TS Galaxy 1-0 in Umlazi, Durban, on Sunday afternoon.

They now join Kaizer Chiefs and Polokwane City at the top of the log with three points apiece after the first match of the new season.

After surviving relegation by a whisker last season, Richards Bay was looking for the best possible start in the 2024/2025 season in front of their home crowd.

The only goal was scored by defender Keegan Allen on his debut for the club midway through the first half from a set-piece.

The visitors were in search of an equaliser throughout the second half, even the introduction of veteran striker Victor Letsoalo in the last 10 minutes failed to change the complexion of the match.
