Woman’s body found floating in a canal at a Limpopo farm

Police have opened an inquest docket following the discovery of a body of a woman floating in a canal at a farm at Kalkfontein in Groblersdal in Limpopo.

Police spokesperson Colonel Malesela Ledwaba says the unknown woman is thought to be aged between 35 and 40 years.

Ledwaba says she was wearing a badge belonging to the ZCC church.

“Police were summoned to the scene at the farms. Upon arrival, they discovered a lifeless body of an unknown woman floating in the water. She was wearing a green skirt and a black top with a ZCC badge,” he said.

Ledwaba said police were investigating the circumstances surrounding her death and urged anyone with further information to assist locate the woman’s family or contact Constable Murwe Maleasenya at 082 318 9642 or dial the #CrimeStop line on a08600 10111.
