The family of the Legendary Gospel Singer, Solly Molokwane says the musician remains critically ill in hospital. Molokwane’s son, Thabang Molokwane says the family is appealing for support and prayers during this difficult time.

Solly Moholo, whose real name is Solomon Molokwane fell ill in August while performing in neighbouring Botswana. He was promoting his eagerly awaited album, “Wubani O zo Pepeza,” when he suffered a stroke.

His management team says his condition was complicated by multiple organ failure. After being repatriated back home, he has been in ICU at the Rustenburg hospital in the North West, for over a month.

Limpopo Artists Movement chairperson, Mphoza Mashabela says they wish Moholo a speedy recovery,

“Solly Moholo has been quiet on most of the radio stations, so we are appealing to most of the radio stations to give legends airplay because remember, airplay is money, airplay is royalties. So most of the radio stations, they will wait for you to die first, and that’s where you will hear Mapaputsi, is where you will hear Solly Moholo. So we don’t want such things that Solly Moholo or one of the legends is in a critical condition, is when most of the compilers, they will play your music.”

Gospel musician, Terance Seabela who worked closely with Solly Moholo on some of his albums, is also calling on the public to keep praying for Moholo’s recovery and has wished him well,

“I urge the nation and the global community to rally around Solly Moholo so he can continue nourishing our spirits with his soul-stirring music. As someone who had the privilege of collaborating with him on several albums and being warmly hosted by his family, I’ve witnessed firsthand his transformative impact.”

Moholo’s profound faith has been the bedrock of his artistic expression and has captivated fans nationwide and beyond.

His devoted fan base in Limpopo, where his music has resonated deeply, has sent an outpouring of love and support, wishing him a speedy and full recovery,

“May God grant Solly Moholo strength and healing so he can return to sharing his beautiful music, which brings solace, joy, and spiritual nourishment to our lives, soon. Solly Moholo’s music is a sacred bridge connecting us to our faith. We now lift him up in prayer, asking God to heal and restore him for continued service in songs. As a passionate fan of gospel music, I pray for Solly Moholo’s speedy recovery, looking forward to his triumphant return to music.”
