African National Congress (ANC) Gauteng Deputy Chairperson Nomantu Nkomo-Ralehoko says the party is open to working with any other political party in the various regions of the province.

There is speculation that there will be a change in leadership in the Tshwane Metro with plans to topple the Democratic Alliance’s (DA) Cilliers Brink from the mayoral position.

This comes as a motion of no confidence in Brink looms.

Nkomo-Ralehoko spoke to SABC News on the sidelines of the National Working Committee (NWC) meeting with the Regional Executive Committee in Ekurhuleni.

She says, “As a province, we do want to work with any party that wants to work with us in any municipality because we are not only going to target Tshwane by the way. We want all the municipalities in the province to be run by the ANC.”

“If it’s a GNU (government of national unity) or GPU (Gauteng provincial unity) or government of local unity, ANC must have a hand there because it is beneficial for us to be able to change whatever we want to do in that table of the GPU or government of national unity.”
