ANC to hold a memorial for Gordhan on Tuesday afternoon

The ANC will hold a memorial service for former Minister of Public Enterprises Pravin Gordhan in Johannesburg this afternoon.

The service will take place at the Johannesburg City Hall and is expected to start at 16:00.

Gordhan passed away on Friday at the age of 75. He died of cancer.

During his passing Gordhan was surrounded by his family, friends and comrades at the time of his passing.

Since then, tributes have been pouring in for the former Public Enterprises Minister who has been hailed for his fight against corruption.

Gordhan has been granted a Special Official Funeral Category 2, declared by President Cyril Ramaphosa.

The funeral will take place at the Inkosi Luthuli International Convention Centre in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal on Thursday and will then be followed by a private cremation.
