Mamelodi Sundowns FC head coach Rhulani Mokoena says he believes that Banyana Banyana has the depth and quality to make history in the FIFA Women’s World Cup.

The women’s national team will play against the Netherlands in the last 16 encounter on Sunday morning.

The winner will advance to the quarterfinals.

Mokoena says he is expecting Banyana Banyana to do well.

“They have archived an incredible milestone possible than nothing, so we wish them the best for the remaining games. I think they can cause a lot of surprises if they continue to work as hard as they have been working for each other if they keep on believing they can win more games, and the performances have been really in a direction where we all have that confidence, and we wish them all the best.”

Meanwhile, some fans in Giyani, Limpopo, have wished good luck to Banyana Banyana.

“We want to wish Banyana Banyana well as they proceed to the last 16. We are saying to them, let them go and represent South Africa and bring back the glory to the country.”

“We wish them well because they are going to play the Netherlands. We support them. Let them go and play. Let God be with them so that they come back with what they want to archive.”
