One of the witnesses in the State Capture Inquiry and spokesperson of Citizens’ Forum, Dennis Bloem, has described outgoing Chief Justice Raymond Zondo as a man of integrity.

Bloem, a former chairperson of Parliament’s Correctional Services Committee and former Congress of the People (COPE) spokesperson, testified in the inquiry on corruption allegations of Global African Corporations previously known as Bosasa.

His decision to testify followed former Bosasa CEO Angelo Agrizzi’s testimony, which revealed alleged rampant corruption and bribery at Correctional Services for over 14 years.

Zondo’s 12-year non-renewable term as a Constitutional Court justice ends today.

Bloem says he is a man of integrity, humility and honesty.

“A patriot who loved his country dearly, who was willing to put his own life in danger, in an effort to rid our country of the cancer of corruption. The contribution of Chief Justice Raymond Zondo can never be forgotten.”

“Activist and Citizens’ Forum will never forget how Chief Justice Raymond Zondo was insulted and his life threatened by vicious thieves who were busy destroying the economy of our country. They stole everything and captured the executive and parliament. The people are sitting jobless, the county’s unemployment rate is the highest in the whole world because of these thieves who have insulted and threatened Raymond Zondo,” he adds.
