Brink launches court bid to prevent his removal as Tshwane Mayor

Tshwane Mayor, Cilliers Brink has approached the High Court in Pretoria to try and prevent opposition parties from removing him as mayor tomorrow.

In leaked court papers, that are now in possession of SABC News, Brink wants the court to block an upcoming motion of no confidence against him.

He has been Tshwane Mayor since the end of March last year, after succeeding, the late Dr Murunwa Makwarela.

The motion will officially be tabled and debated in the Tshwane Council.
