The City of Cape Town says commuters using the MyCiti bus service can look forward to lower fares effective from the 1st of October 2024.
Member of the Mayoral Committee for Urban Mobility, Rob Quintas, says the lower fares are due to a decrease in the price of diesel for three consecutive months.
He says every year the MyCiti fares are adjusted.
Quintas says the city has welcomed the decrease in light of the high cost of living that the public is facing.
We are pleased to announce some relief for passengers from 1 October 2024 when MyCiTi fares will decrease in response to decreases in the price of fuel.https://t.co/fTwwIwsmKW
