Police have requested the assistance of the public after a 13-year-old girl went missing in Crossroads on the Cape Flats.
Spokesperson FC Van Wyk says according to reports, the girl, Lizalise Mayi, left her home on the 24th of last month without informing anyone where she was going.
“According to reports, the mother of Lizalise left the residence to attend a funeral when she left her inside the house and her other child was playing next door. When she later returned, she noticed that the door of the residence was open, and was informed by the other daughter that Lizalise walked down the street without saying anything. At the time of her disappearance she was seen wearing a black jean and a hoody.”
Police add that this is not the first time she went missing. The last time was in May 2023.
Meanwhile, the search continues for six-year-old Joslin Smith who went missing in Saldanha, on the West Coast almost two weeks ago.
The little girl went missing on the 19th of February after allegedly being left in the care of her mother’s boyfriend.
