The Free State High Court has dismissed the urgent application of Moroadi Cholota with costs. Judge Mareena Oppermann stated that her reasons would follow in due course.
Cholota lodged an urgent application to have her arrest and extradition declared unlawful and unconstitutional.
The former personal assistant to the then Free State premier Ace Magashule, argues that the R255 million asbestos corruption and fraud charges against her emerge from her refusal to comply with the state’s demands for specific testimony on the case.
Cholota is out on R2 500 bail, which followed after her extradition from the United States of America (USA) to South Africa.
