Cold front, strong winds to hit KZN

The South African Weather Service has issued a warning for a cold front with strong winds in the southern parts of KwaZulu-Natal.

It says that winds of speed of between 70 and 80 kilometres per hour are expected between Port Edward and Richards Bay.

This could lead to damage to homes and temporary structures and disruption to beachfront activities.

The provincial Co-operative Governance Department (DCOG) has advised small boat owners to avoid going out to sea and the public to stay away from the beaches.
