A group of concerned community members have begun the search for missing six-year-old, Joslin Smith at Saldanha Bay on the West Coast.

Joslin went missing about two weeks ago after her mother left her in the care of her boyfriend.

Wednesday’s search is along Tabak Bay Beach where a shoe was picked up early this week.

Four people have been taken in for questioning in relation to her whereabouts.

Community member, Vernon Vraagom, is leading the search on the beach.

“Seeing that there’s a story of a blue plakkie that was found or the mention of a blue plakkie that was found because at the time a week or two ago there was no mention of the blue plakkie so we have decided now to go to that part of the beach.”
