EC police praised by Mabuyane for dismantling kidnapping syndicate

Eastern Cape Premier, Oscar Mabuyane has commended the police for allegedly dismantling a kidnapping syndicate operating in Tshoxa location, Keiskammahoek.

Police had responded to a tip-off on a house that was allegedly being used for kidnappings in an area that is known as Marikana.

The suspects started shooting when police arrived, and the officers returned fire instantly killing four suspects.

Eastern Cape Government spokesperson, Khuselwa Rantjie says, “The Premier strongly condemned the kidnapping and torture activities that took place in the house at Keiskammahoek and commended law enforcement agencies for their swift action as well as their bravery in responding to the suspects gun fire. Fortunately, no police officer was injured during the operation.”
