England break co-hosts Australia’s hearts to reach World Cup final

England have broken Australian hearts and in the process advanced to their first ever FIFA Women’s World Cup final.

The European Champions beat the co-hosts 3-1 in the second semi-final in Sydney this afternoon.

England who led 1-nil at half-time, will play Spain in Sunday’s final, also in Sydney.

Spain, playing in only their third FIFA Women’s World Cup tournament, will also make their first appearance in a final.
