Gauteng Health Dept opens new training centre in Sterkfontein

The Gauteng Health Department has opened a newly established Health services training centre in Sterkfontein, on Gauteng’s Westrand.

The centre will serve as a hub for training medical practitioners and to equip them with the necessary skills to enhance service delivery and manage health facilities more effectively.

Gauteng Health’s communication head, Motalatale Modiba, says they hope for positive results with this centre.

“The centre will contribute towards the strengthening of the health system improving health outcomes for HIV, TB, Maternal health, and noncommunicable diseases. It will contribute to community empowerment by increasing health literacy and education to promote sustainable practices. We hope that we will see us moving closer to attaining many of the health outcomes that we have set.”
