Government of National Unity perceived positively internationally

The Government of National Unity (GNU) is currently perceived in a positive geo-political position internationally, according to consultancy firm Reputation 1st.

However, Managing Director Tshepo Matseba notes that the GNU’s stance on the Gaza-Israel conflict is less prominent compared to the ANC’s position during the 6th administration.

Matseba emphasizes the need for the GNU to address issues such as loadshedding, crime, and tourism to maintain a positive outlook for “brand South Africa.”

“Perceptually, in a domestic market, one would argue that a government of national unity is perceived in both a negative and positive light even though a lot more people are leaning towards the positive, I mean the majority in terms of commentary, but we are yet to test and the test would be in the pudding. When we speak to citizens, the test would be in the delivery of services,” Matseba says
