The Inkatha Freedom Party (IFP) says it’s deeply saddened by the death of party stalwart, Musawenkosi Qhina Mkhwanazi, who passed away on Tuesday after a short illness.
The IFP says in a statement that Mkhwanazi served as the party’s Provincial Treasurer at the time of his passing. He was a former mayor of the Mtubatuba municipality where he served as a councillor for 20 years.
The party says he was also a trusted advisor to the late King Goodwill Zwelithini and the late traditional Prime Minister of the AmaZulu nation Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi.
