Ireland beat the Springboks 25-24 at a packed Kings Park Stadium in Durban to level the two-match series.

After last week’s 27-20 defeat at Loftus Versfeld Stadium, the second-ranked Ireland produced an improved performance to secure victory against the World Cup champions.

The win is Ireland’s second over the Springboks in South Africa in 12 matches with the hosts having won 10 of their previous encounters.

Ireland led 16-6 at half-time. A drop goal at the death secured the Irish the win with the Boks leading 24-22.
