The Polokwane High Court in Limpopo is today expected to deliver judgment in the double murder case against a husband charged with killing his wife and her business partner.

Stanley Leshabane allegedly hired four hitmen to kill his wife, Makoena Mabusela-Leshabane and her business associate, Tebogo Mphuti, in Polokwane in October 2020.

Leshabane and his co-accused Ndondo Buthelezi, Thembelani Dlamini and Bhekimuzi Phiyose were arrested on October 23, 2020 in Gauteng.
Their co-accused and the alleged owner of the get-away vehicle, Richard John Zulu, died in custody.
The marathon trial saw the Polokwane High Court conducting a trial within a trial, after Leshabane vehemently denied that he wrote a confession statement that was brought before the court, citing mental confusion.
Over 20 witnesses, including family members, investigating officers, cellphone data experts and doctors testified during the trial.
