Key icons in the struggle for South Africa’s human rights

On Monday 21 March, South Africa will commemorate Human Rights Day. The day is linked with 21 March 1960 and the events that occurred in  Sharpeville.  Sixty-nine people were killed during a protest against apartheid pass laws.
