The Knysna Municipality in the Western Cape says it’s turning the tourism town’s recent negative image around.

The municipality says it has made significant progress in implementing suggestions made in the Section 154 Diagnostic Report and accompanying Support Plan adopted in March this year.

The report was produced by the Western Cape Department of Local Government in response to serious service delivery issues.

These include water disruptions, sewage spills, waste management and infrastructure challenges.

The municipality says around R8-billion has been allocated to improve water storage capacity and refurbish key infrastructure for the 2024/2025 financial year.
