The bail application of one of the five accused in the killing of two businesswomen is expected to start in the Polokwane Magistrate’s Court in Limpopo on Tuesday.

Stanley Leshabane, the husband of one of the deceased women, Makoena Mabusela-Leshabane, made an application for bail based on new facts last month.

The accused allegedly shot and killed Mabusela-Leshabane and Tebogo Mphuti in Polokwane in October 2020.

Leshabane’s bail application was postponed last week.

Leshabane and his co-accused Richard Zulu, Ndondo Buthelezi, Sfiso Phigose and Emmanuel Dlamini have been remanded in custody since their arrest last year.
