A 29-year-old man handed himself over to police after allegedly stabbing his brother to death at Mokamole in Makekeng outside Mokopane, Limpopo.

Police spokesperson Malesela Ledwaba says the brothers had an argument before the stabbing.

They engaged in a heated conversation. The younger brother then allegedly stabbed the older brother with a sharp instrument.

Their mother went to separate the brothers but the victim had already been stabbed and was bleeding.

He was rushed to the local hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.

The police opened a case of murder and the following day, the suspect, who had fled, handed himself over to the police in Tinmyne.
