Two ATMs have been bombed and an undisclosed amount of money stolen by a group of robbers at a filling station at Tshakhuma village outside Thohoyandou in Limpopo.

Police say armed suspects forcefully moved the security officer and employees to the back of the filling station before blasting two ATMs on the premises.

Police spokesperson Colonel Malesela Ledwaba says they are investigating.

“Police were alerted to the incident and upon arrival, commenced with initial investigations leading to the recovery of items including cartridges, a detonator battery, and a face mask at the scene. There were no reported injuries during the incident,” adds Ledwaba.
