VIDEO | Parliament briefed on the escape of Thabo Bester

The Department of Correctional Services is briefing the Parliamentary Portfolio Committee on Justice and Correctional Services about the escape of serial rapist and murderer Thabo Bester.

The meeting comes after an urgent request by the Committee. Once thought to be dead, Bester is on the run from the authorities.

He escaped from Mangaung’s maximum security prison in the Free State in May 2022.
