President Cyril Ramaphosa addressed the nation on the provisional measures ordered by the International Court of Justice (ICJ).

The world court ordered among others, that Israel take measures to prevent and punish the direct incitement of genocide in Gaza.

South Africa’s first citizen is expected to speak on the historic win for both the country and the Palestinian people in Gaza at the International Court of Justice (ICJ).

South Africa has consistently championed the cause of the Palestinian people through the Union Buildings in Pretoria and this latest legal action at the world court at the behest of the President and Cabinet has seen the court declare that prima facie jurisdiction has been established, that the rights claimed by South Africa in relation to the Palestinian people are plausible and that the humanitarian situation in Gaza is at risk of deteriorating even further.
