Missing 16-year-old girl’s body found in storeroom at Caledon school

A 16-year-old girl has been found dead in a storeroom at a school premises in Caledon in the Overberg.

Police spokesperson, FC Van Wyk, says the victim’s mother reported her missing after she did not return home after school earlier this week.

He says a search party, established by police, embarked on an operation to find the girl.

Van Wyk says was identified as the missing girl and declared deceased on the scene.

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding her death.
