Motorists urged to avoid Esselen Park after CIT heist

Motorists have been advised to use alternative routes due to a cash-in-transit incident in Tembisa, on Gauteng’s East Rand.

According to Ekurhuleni Metro Police spokesperson Marie Mashishi, the roads between New Road and Sam Molele Drive in the Libili section have been temporarily closed.

Mashishi says motorists are encouraged to plan their routes accordingly and avoid the area until further notice.

“We urge the motorists to use the alternative route, which is link road towards Esselen Park just before Tembisa licencing department. EMPD officers are on scene assisting to divert the traffic.”
