The African National Congress (ANC) in the North West says it still has confidence in Premier Bushy Maape’s leadership.

This as some political parties have raised concerns over Maape’s absence and its impact on service delivery as the Premier has travelled to Thailand to seek medical treatment.

The Premier will be in Thailand until the end of this month after being advised by his doctor to seek medical treatment abroad.

Maape resumed his duties just over two months ago after he took ill following minor orthopaedic surgery in June last year.

MEC for Cooperative Governance, Human Settlements and Traditional Affairs, Nono Maloyi, has since been sworn in as the Acting Premier.
