Former International Relations Minister Naledi Pandor has threatened to take legal action against Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) leader Julius Malema if he does not publicly apologise for the comments he made about her.

Malema said in an interview with SABC News on Tuesday that some African National Congress (ANC) leaders including Pandor benefited from the now-defunct VBS Mutual Bank.

According to Malema, Pandor got a bond from the bank.

However, Pandor has dismissed the allegations as unfounded.

She says, “I did not receive any bond from VBS. I’m just horrified that out of the blue Mr Malema chooses to make such a dishonest allegation about me. I’m really wondering what is going on, I look forward to his apology and obviously, I’m seeking advice on this matter.” Reporting by Diteboho Ntimane.
