The Patriotic Alliance (PA) says it means to act as a stabilising force in the newly established Government of National Unity (GNU).

The party addressed the media in Johannesburg on Thursday, introducing new members to its ranks, including senior members from the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) such as former MP Kenny Motsamai.

The party which is now the sixth largest in the country has bagged a cabinet position with the appointment of its leader Gayton Mckenzie as Minister of Sports, Arts and Culture and has a number of seats in Provincial legislatures.

“Our attitude towards the GNU is that of stablising the GNU we have seen a local government that there have been to and froes Mayors being changed our attitude is very clear that the GNU be stable for the benefit of South Africans, we must put the country first we must put aside party politics we must make sure that for these five years we remain solid and we work together,” says the party’s Deputy President Kenny Kunene.
