Post-mortems completed for 5 ANC members in Limpopo crash: Ramathuba

Limpopo MEC for Health, Phophi Ramathuba, says the post-mortems of the five African National Congress (ANC) members who died in the crash have been completed.

Nine of the 57 survivors are still in the hospital.

The crash happened on Saturday when the ANC members were on their way to the party’s 112th anniversary celebrations at the Mbombela Stadium.

Ramathuba says her department will present the bereaved families with the reports.

“They have completed their postmortems and autopsies, and what is happening now is that we are waiting for the families for the final identification because we have also invited officials from our sister departments from Home Affairs to assist so that by the time the families arrive, they will also have their death certificates.”
