Praise poet Mbangeni to be remembered at memorial service

The memorial service for praise poet, Bishop Jessica Mbangeni, will be held at the Market Theatre in Johannesburg today.

The 47-year-old died on Saturday last week after a short illness.

Mbangeni made an outstanding mark as a founding member of the Grammy Award-winning ensemble Soweto Gospel Choir.

Mbangeni is known for her performances as a praise singer at high-profile events including the 46664 concert in Cape Town and the inauguration of Thabo Mbeki as President.

Dr. Jessica Mbangeni’s memorial service will be held this Friday at The Market Theatre.
