Inkatha Freedom Party (IFP) President Velenkosini Hlabisa has told a massive crowd at the Moses Mabhida stadium in Durban that a litany of problems under the current government have brought the country to the brink of collapse.

Hlabisa was delivering the party’s election manifesto ahead of the May 29th poll. He says South Africa has the capacity to excel and overcome but the situation in the country is serious because of the current government.

The party’s president has listed a litany of problems including unemployment and load shedding that has taken the country to the point of collapse.

The IFP manifesto includes a 13-point plan and programme of action. The first point in the plan involves jobs creation and an inclusive economy.

Hlabisa says companies must have a minimum of 80% South African staff. The IFP will also support the expansion of industrial capacity in the country.

Hlabisa further says the IFP will introduce an unemployed graduate grant of R3 000 if it comes into power. The IFP will further recognize the important role of traditional leaders in the economy.
