The South African men’s cricket team will only have pride to play for in the third and final T20 International against the West Indies in Trinidad and Tobago tomorrow.

The hosts took an unassailable two-nil lead in the three-match series, winning the second match by 30 runs at the Brian Lara Stadium earlier this morning.

It’s their second home series victory over the Proteas since May this year.

The Windies who were sent in to bat, scored 179 for the loss of six wickets in their 20 overs.

Opening batter, Shai Hope, top scored with 41.

Despite a blistering start to their innings and being in total command on 129 for three in the eighth over, the Proteas crumbled and were bowled out for 149.

Reeza Hendricks made 44, while Shamar Joseph and Romario Shepherd took three wickets each.
