Pule murder trial to continue in Johannesburg High Court

The murder case of the alleged mastermind behind the killing of 28-year-old Tshegofatso Pule, is expected to continue on Monday morning in the High Court in Johannesburg.

Police arrested 32-year-old Nthuthuko Shoba at his home in Florida last year, after the man, Muzikayise Malepane, convicted of Pule’s murder, entered into a plea agreement with the state to testify against Shoba.

Shoba was denied bail again in September 2021.

In June 2020, Pule’s body was found in an open veld in Roodepoort. She was eight months pregnant at the time.

Malepane’s testimony

Last week emotions ran high in court as Malepane testified on how he shot and killed Pule.

Malepane is currently serving a 20-year sentence for the murder of Pule.

Her family members, sitting in the public gallery, could not hold back their tears as they listened to his testimony.

Malepane turned state witness in the trial of the alleged mastermind behind Pule’s murder, Ntutuko Shoba.

Malepane testified that he picked Pule up at Shoba’s home and drove her to a veld in Noordgesig where he shot and killed her.
