Ramaphosa extends condolences to families of bus crash victims

African National Congress (ANC) President Cyril Ramaphosa has extended his condolences to the families of ANC supporters killed in a bus crash after attending the party’s election manifesto launch in KwaZulu-Natal.

The bus crashed on the R33 near Dumbe, Paulpietersburg in Northern KwaZulu-Natal on Sunday morning.

Eight supporters died and scores sustained injuries, with four being more critical.

Ramaphosa and ANC officials visited the families of the deceased in Mayflower, Mpumalanga. He promised the bereaved families that the party and the provincial government would provide them with the necessary support.

“The government, through different departments such as the Social Development, will provide assistance. They will provide counselling and other necessities. The provincial government will ensure that all protocols are followed.”
