He has applauded businesses that have invested in South Africa.

The President has been addressing the business community in Shenzhen, China.

Ramaphosa says cooperation between Beijing and Pretoria has been strengthened, and trade will be at the centre of relations between the two countries.

“We are grateful that a number of your companies have been playing a role in improving our energy system in South Africa. We want to encourage your companies to do much more in South Africa. One of the key areas in which we have focused on reforms is our energy and electricity sector,” adds Ramaphosa.
