SA, Nigeria concerned about on-going conflict in Sudan

International Relations and Cooperation Minister Ronald Lamola and Nigerian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Yusuf Tuggar, have expressed concern at the ongoing conflict in Sudan.

The two ministers held a meeting on the margins of the African Union (AU) Mid-term summit in Accra, Ghana.

The summit, which started yesterday brings together AU member states under the theme “Educate and Skill Africa for the 21st Century”.

Lamola says, “We also raised our grave concern about the situation in Sudan, the loss of innocent lives. We called upon the international community to act in solidarity with the people of Sudan and the warring parties.”
