The Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) councillor in Polokwane, Limpopo, Jacob Seshoka, and his four co-accused are expected to continue their bail application today in the Seshego Magistrate’s Court.

The group faces charges related to the alleged theft of firearms, explosives, and ammunition from the police’s stock theft offices in Polokwane in mid-December last year.

Councillor Seshoka and his co-accused, Bernard Malepe, Ngoako Mashakeng, Victor Mashakeng, and Thabo Manamela, were arrested two weeks after the reported incident. The charges include possession of unlicensed firearms, ammunition, and explosives.

The case has garnered attention from various political parties. The bail application process is set to resume on Wednesday as the accused seek release pending trial.
