Several world leaders are in the Angolan capital, Luanda to attend the funeral of former President Jose Eduardo dos Santos.
Dos Santos passed away in Spain, but his burial was delayed as the family wanted an autopsy to be done.
The former president’s funeral has seen scores of leaders attending the somber occasion.
Former Portuguese President, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, Zimbabwean President, Emmerson Mnangagwa, former Namibian President, Sam Nujoma, and South African President, Cyril Ramaphosa have gathered in Angola to pay their last respects.
Dos Santos funeral comes as Angolans are on tenterhooks after the general election that is likely to retain the ruling party MPLA as a governing party.
Opposition UNITA has disputed the results, meanwhile police have appealed for calm as the nation bids farewell to its former leader.
