Accused number one in the Senzo Meyiwa murder trial, Muzi Sibiya, is expected to continue answering questions under cross-examination.

Sibiya is testifying in a trial-within-a-trial at the Pretoria High Court where he is appearing alongside four other accused.

They have been charged with the murder of the Bafana Bafana captain who was shot and killed in 2014.

The defence is challenging the admissibility of confession statements allegedly made by Sibiya and accused number two, Bongani Ntazi.

Earlier, Sibiya told the court that he was forced to sign a confession statement in order to save his own life

“Everything that happened to me my Lord was not out of my own free will. I was abused and pointed with firearms from the morning up to the evening. Whatever I did my Lord I did it for my own safety in order to save my life. There was no one there amongst them who was on my side.”
