Four siblings, aged between 36 and 45, are set to appear in the Balfour Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday in connection with the murder of their 71-year-old father in Balfour, Mpumalanga.
The siblings were arrested over the weekend after their father was fatally shot.
Provincial spokesperson Donald Mdhluli stated that police investigations revealed the victim had a protection order against his children.
Mdhluli says, “The victim had some invisible gunshot wounds and also some empty cartridges were found at the scene. And the team of investigators immediately began an investigation, leading to the arrest of the four suspects in Heidelberg in the Gauteng province on the same day. These four are expected to appear at Balfour Magistrate’s Court, facing a murder charge.”
