Friends of media personality Thabiso Sikwane have described her as someone who lived an exemplary life and remained true to herself.
A memorial service in her honour is underway in Centurion in Pretoria.
She died last week after a short illness.
The seasoned broadcaster had a distinguished career, gracing the airwaves of various radio stations including SAfm.
Her friend and former producer, Carol Bower, says Sikwane was a rare breed in the broadcasting industry.
Bower says, “This short-haired girl from Pretoria had entered broadcasting. I listened to her over the years ply her trade and I was always amazed at how Thabiso never changed. You would always sense that she knew who she was. I admired her immensely and I loved that she was studious and professional. She was Godly, she was loving.”
