Special Joburg council meeting held for late EFF councillor Mphahlele

The first Special Council Meeting in honour of late councillor Moshe Mphahlele is expected to take place in the Constance Conny Bapela Council Chamber in Johannesburg this morning.

The EFF’s Johannesburg Regional Deputy Secretary died during a community protest in Alexandra in northern Johannesburg last month.

He was shot while attempting to mediate between police and homeless people who were trying to forcibly occupy government flats in the area.
