Trevor Noah thrilled with Emmy win for The Daily Show

Comedian Trevor Noah has described as amazing his winning an Emmy award in the Outstanding Talk Series category for his talk show The Daily Show.

He’s the first African and first black person to win an Emmy for outstanding talk series since the introduction of the category in 2015.

Noah has been nominated for the Emmy category five times before. His sixth nomination which he earned in his final season hosting The Daily Show secured him the win.

Noah, who is set to host the Grammy Awards next month for the fourth consecutive year, is nominated for best comedy album.
